Actemium is engaged in plant design and system integration, and does so in a series of specific industries. Those of the water for example. Actemium developed for surface water managers the Central Automation Water (CAW) solution.
CAW delivers a information cockpit for the water manager showing all surface water related information for the whole geographical area. On customizable computer screens, he sees the real-time water levels, the current position of valves, sluices and locks and flow of waterways in its region or to your liking and understanding to share parameters. In convenient charts he can at a glance the current situation in his water to see. From is terminal he can act, close or open sluices, start or stop ground water pumps, etc. - whatever he deems necessary at some point.
The system is platform independent, is nearly unlimited expandable and easy to maintain. Through web technique a water manager can login from home to see what the current water level at a certain substation is.
The system is continuously fed from a database. All relevant information is communicated via modem, Internet, GSM, UMTS or cable and entered into the database. Also, information from 'outside', as water levels of main waterways, RWS messages or precipitation and other weather forecasts or KNMI MeteoConsult can be added real-time into the database.
Also handy: the CAW is easy to adapt to any new infrastructure!
